We found a "cave" that we had to hike up to. Any crevice in the hillside attracts the attention of the boys. They were slightly dissapointed that this cave didn't lead to an Indiana Jones type adventure with hidden treasure and cave paintings. But hey, the hike was fun.
Did I mention this was a desert? This is Brendan, Logan, and Nathan at the top of the hill and Dallin on his way up. Logan went up on his own, and after watching Nathan follow him, Brendan thought it a good idea to join the crew. Thanks Bren, I didn't feel like trudging in soft dirt.
This is at the actual State Park camping sight, where we found the thundereggs. It was about 7 miles up the dirt road through a beautiful canyon from where we had loaded up with agates. Not included in this picture is Brendan taking a nap on the hillside.
We stopped earlier at a spot on the creek to allow the joy of throwing rocks into the water. Dallin asked if we were crossing the Delaware. He and Logan gave their "Crossing the Delaware" pose on top of this rock at the park.
It was a fun day, we're not rich from our finds, infact I think I'm going to have to get a rock polisher now, but we were all there, smiling, having fun. You know it was a good day when they fall asleep on the way home.
