The Writer's Workshop, Bandito's, and peanut m&m's

This will be short, which is hard, cuz I'm pretty wordy. But I'm the last one to get my suitcase out of the car. The kids did it. Me? I'm not so inclined, maybe because I know it means laundry is looming. It's probably more deep-seeded than that since laundry is always looming, but that introspective therapy session will have to wait.

The Writer's Workshop was the the greatest place I never knew I wanted to go. I am feeling overwhelmingly grateful to Lisa Hale, my BYU Professor, for pushing it into my lap. This is really going to have to take another entry. Just wanted to say, I loved it. There are some very amazing women out there, and I loved the opportunity to learn from them. (There were guys there too, but I'm a girl party kind of person.)

I do have to give a shout-out to two author's in particular. Carol Lynch Williams has a new book called, "The Chosen One." A great read, absolutely worth my time, and I felt like a better person for reading it. And A. E. Cannon, or Ann Cannon has a book out called, "A losers guide to life and love." If you're looking for insightful comedy and great writing, she's your author. She's done a lot of genres, so check her out. Plus, she's amazing, and I love her, but I'm being completely unbiased here about her books.

And oh yes, I was introduced to a bandito in Provo, it was good, but the company was the high-light. Also, munching on peanut m&m's while critiquing and chatting with good people makes for a great morning.

Okay, now I need to make the long walk to the car, and the forever long walk up the stairs to my bedroom, and then... unpack or nap?
